HPA Captures DII Third Place
May 7, 2008 by hpabaseballMay 3, 2008: HPA defeated Kohala 9-7 to take third place in the BIIF Championships at Wong Stadium. Kohala trailed HPA 9-3 and rallied to score 4 runs but came up a little short in the seventh inning. Four teams from the BIIF DII will qualify for the HHSAA tournament. – Hawaii Sports News

St. Joes applied some pressure in the late innings but the Ka Makani responded with a rally in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the game. Photos of the game are available on our flickr site.
