The Ka Makani had the crowd on it’s feet with a rally to tie the game in the top of the 7th inning. But Hilo came back with a rally of it’s own to win the game in the last of the 7th. In a fast paced game Hilo played small ball building a 4-2 lead. Hit and run plays, bunts, and stolen bases were the difference for the home team. The Vikings scored the decisive run without hitting a ball out of the infield. A second straight strong outing from a Ka Makani starting pitcher backed up by solid defense kept the score within reach and the bats came alive when we needed them. HPA’s record is now 1-1.
